A True Reflection

By Terri Posey de Man, CMT, CNMT

Most everyone who has ever worked in Corporate America has heard of image consultants. Large corporations and business executives hire consultants to help them market and position themselves in the world of commerce, to land new clients, and get promotions.

With my own Therapeutic Massage practice, I know that other people’s perceptions and first impressions play a big part of business. So a few weeks ago when my friend told me about this amazing woman who offered an image profiling service with a twist, I thought that I would give her a call (it was the “twist” that intrigued me).

Sarah Whitaker of Inside-Out Image Profiling isn’t your ordinary corporate-type image profiler/consultant; however, she does that, as well. Sarah helps you to see your true image type and to present that to others in order to manifest your heart’s desires.

Sarah believes that everything that occurs or manifests in our lives comes from our center – the inner most part of us. Some call it Hara, or the personality center; others call it nature. No matter what you choose to call it, it is ultimately your personal starting point or Ground Zero.

“Understanding what this looks like and activating it is paramount in attracting what you desire and unfolding your life plan,” says Sarah. “We are our own miracle, yet we often stumble through life seeking that which we desire outside of ourselves, when in fact our Light and creative point we already have within us. Do you see your Light, when you look in the mirror?”

Having never put it into words, I found this a difficult question to answer.

When you look in the mirror, what you see staring back at you is not only your physical reflection, but is also the image of your collective life experiences, beliefs about yourself, and what others believe you to be. Sarah says, “This image is actually out of focus and not really you at all.
What is you is your Light or, in my language, your Image Type.”

Your Image Type is an archetype that reflects your own figurative “blueprint” and helps you express yourself and dress according to your own psychology. This blueprint is the accumulation of all your parts, and when joined together, form the complete picture. The 35 Image Types that Sarah uses act as templates to help you express your creative center and true nature, and bring your reflection into harmony.

Every aspect of who you are, whether it is your psychology, physiology or presence, exists for a reason. If you try to change a part, resist it or try to hide or disguise it, you will affect the whole picture and take yourself out of focus. Being in focus is the equivalent to turning on your “Light,” and that is what naturally draws people (soulmates, friends, and clients) or experiences (the right job, for example) to you, making your life much easier and more enjoyable.

One aspect of your blueprint is your Presence – that intangible quality that you can't put your finger on -- that determines what kind of entrance you make when you walk into a room. Do people notice your entrance even though you’ve said nothing, or can you slide in and out of a room unnoticed? Until my session with Sarah, I felt that I fell into the latter category.

Sarah discerns your Presence by looking at your spiritual age (Maiden/Boy, Matriarch/Patriarch, Seer/Sage) to determine your energy and what you bring into a group dynamic. For example, the Maiden or Boy represents youthful energy, and there are several subcategories within each group. Not everyone will have a Maiden/Boy presence and some will have just one element of it.

Once Sarah has analyzed your complete blueprint, she then determines your Image Type so you can discover your inner light and reconnect with your center.

"Once you turn on your light, you become part of the Universal Light. You move from the dualistic perspective to a monolistic perspective – all is one and one is all. But you have to identify who you are to begin with, and separate yourself from that which exists outside of you,” Sarah explains. In essence, you return to your Ground Zero.

Since my session with Sarah, I’ve begun gradually incorporating some of the changes that we talked about, and I’m already seeing results. Other people are starting to look up and smile when I enter a room, but most importantly, I'm beginning to see myself a little more clearly, too. And THAT could make all the difference in the world.

The London Times named Sarah Whittaker “The Wardrobe Shrink.” From her home in South Georgia, she offers remote and face-to-face Image Profiling Consultations. Contact Sara at 912-816-0075 or sarah@insideoutprofiling.com.
