With over twenty-five years of experience in healing and meditation music, Deuter always delights with his profoundly beautiful flute and enchanting, layered melodies. His latest release is the exquisite Buddha Nature. Deuter's music is the ultimate expression of being in the moment and is therefore difficult to describe. As a listener, you are transported to a soundscape of tinkling bells, deep-throated vibrations like those of the really large crystal bowls, the sound of waves lapping on the shore, birdsong, and the breathy, magickal sound of Deuter's flute. The music is atmospheric, environmental, and most conducive to meditation and the healing room. Buddha Nature is so very, very peaceful... (New Earth Records) Markus
James recorded his self-titled
cd in Bamako, Mali with Malian musicians
Hamma Sankare, Hassi Sare, Solo
Sidibe, Massamba Diop, Mamma Sissoko,
Jeneba Diakite, Fanta Kone, and
Sarah Baker. The wild, brooding
bluesy lyrics and the Malian rhythms
and instrumentation make a fiery combination
reminiscent of delta blues. James's
voice is incredibly sexy as he delivers
the poetic lyrics of Are You
Thirsty: Lucy lost inside
a mirror/lookin for somethin/she ain't
never gonna see/she says I know it
must be in here/but it ain't never
gonna be and leads into the
chorus of Are you thirsty/as
the day is dry/are you thirsty/under
an empty sky. This one is hot,
spicy, and totally addictive! (Firenze
Records)
This
album is a shining gem! wrote
New Age Voice critic Peter Manzi on
Lisa Lynne's Maiden's
Prayer. Fan Peggy Bonneville
declared it to be The most beautiful
music to ever pass thru my ears and
into my soul. Maiden's
Prayer is the album that Celtic
harp enthusiasts hope and pray to
find. This lush soundscape includes
woodwinds, lute, santoor, tar, dulcimer,
bouzouki, finger cymbals, shakers,
bamboo flutes, whistles, drums, viola
da gamba and violin. Lynne plays with
world-class musicians of Celtic, Renaissance,
and Persian cultures. Lynne,
herself, wrote Maiden's
Prayer (title song), Winter
Moon, One Wish,
and As Ye Lay in Slumber.
She adapted the traditional Irish
Chanter's Tune, Eleanor
Plunkett (from the famed Turlough
O'Carolan), Still I Will,
and the traditional Italian Lauda
de Maria Maddalenna, among others.
Maiden's Prayer marries
the wealth of tradition to the boldness
of modern interpretation in a powerful
and moving union. (New Earth Records)
