This
calendar is black and white inside,
and only either blue or green
and white on the cover and is
offered in two sizes, an 8 x 10”
wall calendar and a 4 x 5”
pocket calendar. The design is
clean and easy to comprehend.
All planetary information for
each month is given on the page
for that month; there is no need
to flip back and forth through
the book to find everything. And
even the pocket-sized model is
easy to read-even for these middle-aged
eyes!

A
large wall calendar, the 21st
Century Goddess Calendar is
illustrated by visionary artist
Marsha Bakko, with text and astrological
information by Ken Kalb. Bakko's
photo-montage style of artwork
is reminiscent of the Voyager
Tarot deck, with vibrant colors
and a mixture of ancient and modern
iconography. Kalb's astrological
commentary describes the coming
events for each month and lists
each sign's ruling planet,
element, keyword, symbol, colors,
traits, archetype, and mythological
character. It lists traditional
American holidays and the sabbats,
plus information for each day.
And unlike most calendars, the
days aren't contained in boxes,
but instead, the numbers float
in moon-like arcs.
The
Self-Realization Fellowship's
Inner Reflections 2002 Engagement
Calendar
is
a spiral bound, 9” X 7”
book. There's plenty of space
to write notes at each date and
moon phases, equinoxes and solstices
are noted, though there is no
other astrological information.
Holidays included are those traditional
national and religious (if you're
Christian or Jewish) for Canada,
United Kingdom, Wales, Scotland,
Australia, New Zealand, and America.
Each page features inspiring quotations
from Paramahansa Yogananda that
celebrate spirit in nature. The
best part, though, is the photographs!!
Every page has a full color photograph
from nature, with outstanding
print quality. They are some of
the finest examples of the art
of photography I've ever seen.
Little wonder then, that the 2001
Edition of Inner Reflections won
no less than five gold medals
in the Calendar Marketing Association's
national and world competitions.
And when the year is over, the
photo pages can be easily removed
and framed. Believe me, they're
worth framing!
