Natural
Resonance The Key to Ancient Knowledge
Applications in Color, Music, Chakras, and Key
by
Michael Sandborn
The
secret of ancient knowledge is that it is not secret. It has been
right in front of us the entire time, but we failed to see it.
Simply put, the ancients had one thing that we do not—unification.
When they discussed spirituality they were also discussing mathematics,
or music, or physics, or color theory, or philosophy, or biology,
or any one of the natural disciplines. How is such a thing possible?
The answer can only be that they were aware of a single energy
structure underneath every natural energy system in the universe,
a sort of one ring to bind them all. (Plato referenced
it when he mentioned the music of the spheres).

Of
course, the next question will be, How did they discover
this so-called ring of knowledge? There are many possibilities
ranging from the extreme to the simple, but one thing we do know,
is that once the path is discovered, it is hard to miss the explosion
of knowledge emanating from it. What the ancients figured out
is that perception is the singular entity capable of uniting all
the elements of the universe; and to understand perception they
logically turned to the senses.
Each
sense has a hard-wired structure tuned to a particular
manifestation of energy. By uniting similar concepts in each sense
such as closeness or distance, a common pattern of energy evolves
until a complete and perfect harmonic structure is obtained. This
structure can then be used to translate meaning between all fields
of study such as between color and music, or color and numbers,
or any other pair of disciplines. But, for the ancients, the most
important perspective was that the reference structure defined
the essence of spirituality, and thus defined the relationship
between the spiritual and all perspectives of the physical.
Today
we call the path of perceptual unification the study of Natural
Resonance. It is a long story, in fact, without end, but we can
take a look at some of its simple elements and basic practical
applications.
Let's
begin with the current method for relating colors and musical
tones (commonly employed in healing and meditation) where the
color spectrum is layed over the sound spectrum as shown below.
Is
this method correct? Natural Resonance says no. A, E and B are
closely related tones in music, but their color matches (yellow-orange,
violet, and yellow-green) aren't close at all, and in fact
are nearly exact opposites.
How
did this unnatural musical tone to color relationship come about?
Through lack of attention to perception. If we simply do as the
ancients did, and consider that unity is achieved through perception,
then all we have to do is connect what is perceived to be close
in one system to what is perceived to be close in another. The
diagram below shows the natural perceptual match between color
and music.
We can get a better feel for the nature of this system by viewing
it in its circular form.
We see that D, A, and E which are closely related tones are also
closely related colors; and we see that the tones A and D sharp,
and A and A sharp, which are distantly related tones, are also
distantly related colors.
Of
course, Natural Resonance takes the simple structure of 12 energy
centers a lot further because it can bring in so many different
perspectives. Without getting caught up in the details, we can
take a simple look at the resonant structure of key, which underlies
the 7 core chakras.
Natural Resonance shows that key is formed by taking two opposing
energy centers (male and female) and uniting them over one half
of the energy circle.
Once the half-circle of key is formed, it then reorganizes into
competing male and female symmetry energy centers.
The
final step is to unify the male and female into a non-competing
structure. This is accomplished by moving either the male or the
female to a minor key configuration.
Now, let's take a look at the chakra key. Natural Resonance
defines that the only stable existence of 7 energy centers is
within the confines of key, where the 7 energy centers form a
system of simple resonance (perceived closeness). Do the current
chakra color patterns accurately reflect the construction of stable
color key? No. Below is an example chakra pattern currently in
use. The colors red and green create destructive interference
as do the color pairs blue and orange, and violet and yellow.
Use
of such a color pattern suggests that the body is naturally filled
with harmonic death which we all know is not the case.
Stable key, on the other hand, is formed from a male and female
pair of opposites which unite to form a system of harmonically
resonant energy points.
The simple versions of the Natural Resonance chakra key patterns
shown above are only the beginning. Every natural system has the
same key structure. Take the 12 energy centers of astrology for
example. There is a reference key structure to the planet, but
there are also resonant key structures for each person which define
that persons system of relationships. Thus the chakra color pattern
will be unique for each astrological position.
One
might logically ask, Doesn't this invalidate current
methods of color healing? The answer is not necessarily.
The fact is that where there is a lack of harmonic knowledge,
color can simply act as an abstract naming system used by the
healer to guide and focus energy. What makes the correct version
more powerful is that it allows the healer to study the complete
or perfect version of the natural energy structure, learn how
to manipulate or control it, and thus learn how to more effectively
move the patient's energy system towards the perfect state.
And, if the healer is using non-destructive color patterns then
the healing effort is likely to be enhanced. Clearly this knowledge
can also be applied internally for self healing and spiritual
growth, as the ancients well knew.
The
best thing about Natural Resonance is that its core existence
is simple and easy to understand, which means that everyone can
participate at some level. But for those of us who never seem
to be satisifed, Natural Resonance will forever lead us deeper
and deeper into what the ancients described as the Mind of God.
