Objective Evidence of Reincarnation: The Path to Lasting Peace

On February 6, 2005, the birth date of Georgia Governor, Senator and Civil War hero John B. Gordon, at the Unity North Atlanta Church, retired Assistant Fire Chief Jeff Keene will describe how he learned that he is the reincarnation of John B. Gordon.

Walter Semkiw, MD, an Assistant Chief at a major medical center, will explain how he learned that he is the reincarnation of John Adams. Trance medium Kevin Ryerson, who is featured in three of Shirley MacLaine's books, will describe his past lifetime in the American Revolution as Philip Livingston. The case which most dramatically illustrates the impact that objective evidence of reincarnation can have to end conflict involves Barbro Karlen, who has had memories since childhood of being Anne Frank. At age ten, on her first visit to Amsterdam, Barbro led her parents, by foot and without directions, from their hotel directly to the Anne Frank House. Inside, Barbro knew where artifacts should have been located, which had been removed for preservation. Barbro Karlen was a childhood writing prodigy, like Anne, and Barbro has the same facial features. Most importantly, a board member of the Anne Frank Foundation, who knew Anne when she was alive, believes that Barbro is indeed the reincarnation of Anne Frank.

Barbro Karlen was born into a Christian family in Sweden, while Anne Frank was persecuted as a Jew and died in a Nazi concentration camp. Consider that if 70 years ago, the German people knew that one could be born Jewish in one lifetime and Christian in another, then the Holocaust could never have happened. Similarly, objective evidence of reincarnation can serve as an “Antidote to 9/11.” Dr. Semkiw will show a videotaped presentation of Barbro Karlen, in which Barbro tells her compelling story, at the Feb. 6 event, which is being co-sponsored by the Intuition Network, an organization founded by Jeffrey Mishlove and made up of published authors in field of parapsychology. What has this research shown? In the last few years, multiple independently researched reincarnation cases, including two studied by Ian Stevenson, MD, at the University of Virginia, demonstrate the following principles of reincarnation:

Facial architecture remains similar from lifetime to lifetime, even when gender, race, and ethnic affiliation changes.

Personality traits, interests, aptitudes and writing style remain consistent from one lifetime to another. In the cases of Jeffery Keene/John B. Gordon, a formal linguistic analysis has been performed which shows that writing style is structurally the same in the incarnations of Gordon and Keene.

Individuals incarnate in karmic soul groups. We return to life with those we have known before. Many times couples are observed to return together, which explains the phenomenon of “love at first sight,” as well as déjà vu, which can be triggered by encounters with past life associates.

Symbols, synchronistic events and anniversary phenomenon, which reflect a past lifetime, are often found in one's contemporary life.

Religious, racial and ethnic affiliation can change from lifetime to lifetime. This observation has vast social implications and indeed, this finding has the potential to serve as an “antidote to 9/11.”

Independently researched cases which form a foundation for these principles of reincarnation are found in Return of the Revolutionaries: The Case for Reincarnation and Soul Groups Reunited. One independent case involves neurosurgeon Norm Shealy, who has coauthored books with Caroline Myss. Dr. Shealy spontaneously learned that he is the reincarnation of John Elliotson, a British physician who was a specialist in pain management, like Dr. Shealy. Another case involves Robert Snow, an Indianapolis Police Captain who underwent a past life regression on a dare. During the session, Captain Snow had a past life experience in which he saw himself painting a portrait of a hunchbacked woman. Later, Captain Snow, though synchronistic events, was led to the portrait of the hunchback woman, and was able to validate his past life memories through a diary the artist, Carroll Beckwith, had left behind.

Other independently researched cases include those of William Barnes, who as a child, began having intrusive memories of a sinking ship with four peach colored smokestacks. When he saw the first movie version of Titanic as a young boy, he pointed at the ship and told his father that this was his ship, but that it had died. Later in life, during a past life regression, Mr. Barnes suddenly remembered that his name was “Tommie Andrews.” Andrews designed the Titanic and perished on her maiden voyage. Another independent case, that of Penney Peirce, demonstrates that a soul can split itself and have two incarnations running parallel in time.

In Revolutionaries, a cohort reincarnated from the time of the American Revolution is presented. Reincarnated revolutionaries include George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Colin Powell, Ralph Nader and Oprah Winfrey. Individuals who have agreed to be featured as reincarnation cases in Revolutionaries include Nobel Laureate Kary Mullis, Conversations With God author Neale Donald Walsch, Marianne Williamson, Caroline Myss and Shirley MacLaine, all of whom were active in the era of 1776. In contemporary times, a Spiritual Revolution is taking place, based on objective evidence of reincarnation. This revolution will allow human beings to consciously participate in their own spiritual evolution, as well as bringing an end to conflicts based on false beliefs.
