Hi, Everybody and Happy New Millennium If you expected Year 2000 to start a New Life, and it didn't happen, simply get enthusiastic again because this is the time. On your 2001 birthday, you'll enter the full wave of the Aquarian Age. The hype is true; the information age is the greatest time on earth. It is happening. On December 1, 2000, I emailed all of my closest friends and family members and announced Christmas came early for me; I sold Sun Glo Bookstore. I've owned and loved that store for ten years, but now it's time to move on. A very special lady, Shari Moss, is now the guardian angel of Synchronicity (formerly Sun Glo). Synchronicity will remain the source for energy, psychic readings, books and beautiful gifts. Shari is following her guidance and allowing her new mission in life to start. I wish her the best, and I know you will, too. I've always had difficulty writing about our community do-ers: they pave the way for higher consciousness thinking, and they need our support. Because I owned a store, I always put a lid on my exploding desire to ask the community for support. But now, I can give you the inside scoop. Most of our advertisers that trust their work and message didn't wake up one morning and say, I think I'll be a psychic, or, I think I'll heal people, or I'll open a metaphysical book and gift store. The Universe has called on these people to be the solid foundation for this incredible community. Without them, we couldn't share our message and grow. Many religions teach a particular 'way' based on sacred texts, that, in my view, have controversial subject matter that excludes certain people that don't think the right way (their way). But metaphysics is not a religion; it's a philosophy that seeks to explain the nature of being, of our reality, and the workings of the universe. Metaphysics means beyond the physical. It's a study of universal beliefs that are simple and inclusive of all God's children. Every culture, all religions, ARE one people under God. Universal energy is God/Goddess, Ascended Masters, angels, guardian angels, fairies, spirits, spirit guides, and others who help and guide us from the outer earth limits. I wonder how people survive without an understanding of the magnitude and magnificence of it all. Understanding God's will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven, and knowing His/Her bigger picture is in Divine Order. Accepting this will feed your soul. Feeling this is like holding a baby and feeling your heart open like a lotus flower. So, my point is this: Trust the people in the community that care enough about their message or services to advertise them. Psychics: I don't think every psychic has everybody's answers or correct information, but I trust you to know when you hear your own truth. Also, make sure you're being charged fairly. Healers: I don't think every healer matches everyone's energy levels, nor will they cure 'everyone.' But! I've never met a healer that wasn't sincere about their work. I never miss an opportunity to receive Reiki or other types of energy work. Spiritual healings are always from a higher place, and higher levels of consciousness. They are never invasive, always beneficial, never predictable. Merchants: Unlike mainstream retailers, we need the community's support. I have heard people say they ordered a book from a large chain bookstore. My reply to that is, that's not helping the community. Those people don't even allow space for Aquarius to be picked up (free) in their stores. Ten years ago, we were thought of as weird, now our stuff is mainstream. Then, many exclusive items were only found in a metaphysical store, but now they're found other places. The one thing mainstream merchants can't buy or create is the energy and atmosphere that our special stores provide. Once you've walked into a store that promotes spirituality, offers a safe haven and sells products that lifts your spirit, you'll always be called back there. Remember to support them more and be conscious that they are there for you. Church: First I'd like to congratulate Carole O'Connell on the fabulous job she and the congregation at Unity North did in building that spectacular new church. I'm in awe every time I go there. Lorelei Robbins, an astrologer friend of mine, married John Monti at Unity North on Dec. 15. I told Rev. Carole it was the best wedding I'd ever attended. Several things occurred that I'll always remember. John and Lorelei included both families in the simple but elegant procession. The ceremony was 'real' and had all the elements of shared love. Emotions were out, hung high like freshly washed clothes. Any dirty laundry was washed clean and healed. We were all healed. We laughed and cried as Rev. Carole spoke of marriage and all its glory. How we are all unique individuals, and how important it is to support each other's dreams and desires. This wise woman touched all our hearts as she waved her magic wand and announced John and Lorelei as husband and wife. Another special touch was the 'secret' video going on behind the scene. A room was set up to tape messages from the guest. Well wishes and personal thoughts were a surprise gift to the new couple from photographer Wes Nolan (see his ad in our classified section).
Happy New Year! Bye honeys!
