Building Your Dreams
Rev. Tony Crapolicchio
Everyone must dream in order to express life. If humankind wishes a life which is better than what has been experienced before, then humankind must dream of greater possibilities. If humankind is to live its divinity, then it must dream of its oneness with the omnipotence of God.
We all have dreams -- some we tell to others and some we hold onto, afraid to tell people out of fear of their disapproval. Fear is a foolish thing when it comes to our dreams since, in our dreams, fear cannot exist. Our dreams are born out of something far more than any false fear.
All of our dreams are attainable as our dreams are the divinity within us wishing to express more of this wonderful thing called life. We have the ability to dream of something greater because we have the ability to harness the creative power of the universe and create in our physical world the reality of our dreams. Our dreams are not just a nice thought of something we might like; our dreams are the whispers of the Divine expressing the possibilities for our life. Dr. Ernest Holmes stated, “Humankind is a threefold principle of life. Humankind is spirit, soul and body. Let us feel our purposes are animated and inspired from on high and then let us go fourth and make our dream come true in our human experience.”
Our dreams are divine thoughts pushing their way through our consciousness. Once we realize this, we understand our dreams are attainable, because with God all things are possible. Think of your fondest dream. Is it a dream of greater health, or love or prosperity? Whatever your dream, understand it is Divine Mind inspiring you so It may achieve more through you since you are the dreams of God, inspiring the love of life and the givingness of creation. This is the first step in building your dreams: realizing our dreams come from a point of divine inspiration. Our dreams are the spiritual prototype for creative energy manifesting in our life and serve as the predecessors to every experience.
Behind all human achievement, lies the dream of the mind and the action of the body. Thus another step to building your dreams is to take action on your dreams. Your dreams are the whispers of the Divine inspiring through you. You cannot fail because God does not know failure. You are the way the success of God arrives.
All of your dreams are within your reach because all of your dreams are within your ability to act. When we act on our dreams, they surpass in physical form what we visualize in our minds. Our dreams expand our consciousness and guide us in building our lives. We may only have the greater experience if we try to attain it. Build your dreams and live your divinity. Your dreams have power because you have the power of the universe itself at your disposal. You may accomplish your dreams, once you put yourself into action and allow the inspiration of Infinite Mind to manifest through you. God will always supply the inspiration when you supply the dedication. Building our dreams takes a little effort on our part. If we are to build our dreams, we must provide the action of our bodies and commitment of our thoughts.
Our minds should go from inspiration to manifestation, from contemplation to fulfillment, from prayer to demonstration. George Bernard Shaw, said, “Some men see things as they are and ask why. I dream of things that have never been and say why not.” Why not dream of a greater love in your life and pursue it? Why not dream of greater health in your life and claim it? Why not dream of greater success in your life and do all that you need to have that success materialize?
On the off chance someone hears a voice in their head saying, “Here’s why not, you don’t deserve it, or that dream is too good for you,” pay close attention. That is the voice of fear of failure and the unknown. Remember: fear does not exist in our dreams. Our dreams are the inspiration of the Divine. Fear is a false human idea and serves no value. Rather than affirming an idea of fear, why not affirm a higher idea of truth that affirms, “I have no fear in my consciousness when it comes to building my dreams. My dreams are the inspiration of Divine Mind wanting to express in my life. And where there is the inspiration of God, fear cannot exist. All I am experiencing is the perfection of my inspiration.” This is a greater idea to embrace for our experience rather than fear, wouldn’t you agree?
Live your dreams by affirming your divinity and banish forever any fear which keeps you away from the wonderful “why not’s” of life. Ask yourself relentlessly, why not, and build your dreams by living your divinity.
